EMDR Therapy

Emdr1 1How EMDR Works

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, gentle taps, or tones—while you hold parts of a memory in mind. This helps your brain reprocess the stuck material and link it with present‑day safety. Over time, the memory becomes less charged and more integrated. You don’t have to share every detail of your trauma for EMDR to work.

Why EMDR at Daisy Wellness Co.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence‑based, trauma‑focused approach that helps your brain process distressing memories so they stop running the show. If you’re living with the after‑effects of trauma—flashbacks, anxiety, shame, people‑pleasing, emotional numbing, or sudden overwhelm—EMDR can help you feel safer in your body and clearer in your mind.

At Daisy Wellness Co., EMDR is delivered by Stephanie Edsall, LCSW, a seasoned trauma therapist and DBT specialist. Sessions are warm, practical, and paced at your nervous system’s speed. We pair EMDR with skills from DBT, polyvagal‑informed grounding, and parts‑aware work so you’re supported before, during, and after reprocessing.
